Question how to tell?????

is there a way of seeing if my bike is an import its a 2001 r6?

my speedo will not switch from kmh to mph and i'm thinking of buying a convertor kit to sort it out but the kit only has japanese connections with it.
an old mot does show mph so it must have displayed it at some point i have tried holding down buttons etc and have changed the odometer fuse but still nothing.

here is a link to what i was thinking of trying sorry if posting links is against rules

Re: how to tell?????

Run a carfax on your VIN. It will let you know where it was originally sold.

What have you done so far to attempt to switch between MPH and KPH?
