The brightest is 5200, you can't find it in aftermarket HID set ups. Go with the 6K as its the next best thing.

Use xenonrider.com , his name is Joseph, ask him for his ebay link as he has the sets there for $145.00 shipped.

I used a 6K headlight and a 3K highbeam

H7 would be the one you use.

well 8k is technically the brightest, but the higher on the k scale you go, the less actual light output you have. 6k is typically a pretty good balance between light output and the blue color that people want out of their hid's

Re: Which HID is brightest? 4k or 6k or 8k?

i always thought the lower the K the brighter the light. once you get into the higher K your just getting more color output.

so 4k woud be the brightest out of your choices.

H1 and H7 are the types of bulb bases that would fit into a certain headlamp.

No, 8K is not as bright as the 6K, its just adds more color to the bulb.

Re: Which HID is brightest? 4k or 6k or 8k?

Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that colour temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the colour temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a colour temperature of approx 12,000k and has almost no useable light or lumens output. Higher K kits such as 7000k, 7500k, etc. have been manufactured for individuals that are more concerned about the actual colour output of their lights as opposed to the actual useable light output they produce.
