Yet another HID question.

Getting ready to get my HIDs for the upcoming riding season and have decided to go with 8k. I've seen dozens of pictures of HIDs from the from but not any from the rider's point of view. I'm requesting this because I'm not very technical and I am worried about ugly wiring sticking out. Is this a fairly easy mod I can do myself that will look clean and professional if I'm average at do it yourself projects and can those of you who have HIDs can you please post pics of your HIDs from the rider's angle? I'm curious as to where all the wires are hidden. Thanks everyone.

Re: Yet another HID question.

If you get a plug & play kit its pretty straight forward. No cutting/splicing or other. You simply disconnect/connect the wire harness.Alot of members here(myself included) bought from xenonrider.com .I bought both my kits from him.I went with the low/hi-beam kit on the R6 & the Bi-xenon for the D6.In the first two pics is the R6.The rest are from the D6.Which i just installed last monday.

Just so you know - the high Kelvin rated bulb you go the lower the actual useable light becomes.

Optimal output & performance for a HID is between 4300k & 5000k. Anything above that and you'll begin the downward spiral into becoming a completely pointless excersise.

hope this helps

Re: Yet another HID question.

ummm let's see...

No wires "sticking out" on my bike. I don't have any pics, but you give me a good reason to go take some...

Give me a day or two and I will try to get a couple for ya.

Later on
