Model Differences

Hey guys. not so new on here, for some reason my account got wiped after the site was down for a few days back in 07.
Anyway, im back, and i traded my 07 for the 08...and incurred a hefty bill haha.
I have a question which may be elementary but here goes:
What the hell is the difference between YZFr6X (c) and the 5 or so other ones. I just went to the shop and got an r6, i didnt know there were a few different kinds. like the S. whats the dif with the S also?
one other question...i have the GYTR carbon slip on. does it do anything for performance other than look nice?

the r6S = SEXY!!! i know cause i own one. the real one, an 05.
the r6r is more track oriented while the r6s is for more for street.
with slip ons, you won't notice much power gains.

im sorry if it has but my browser sucks and i couldnt find an older one.
i figured about the S and R, but what about the few other types.
my manual says YZFR6X (c), theres no R or S. and theres a few with B or XB or other varients. how do tehy all differ?
