Yes they make full systems and the gyt-r stands for genuine yamaha technology racing. The can is small and loud. Too loud for my liking. I have never seen the header before but i'm sure it's good quality.

Got a full race system on my '03 and love it! It doesnt claim to be much horse gain, but it gains more torque than most other exhausts. Exhaust and a PC3 really cleaned it up!

You'll have to order it through a yamaha dealer. And be aware of the pictures in the catalog and on the net. They picture a highmount for the race system, but yamaha never went through with making the highmounts for public, so you get a standard mount can.

Thanks for the HEADS UP Redline! I was considering getting the GYT-R's maybe next year since I got suckered by the highmount picture in the Yamaha website!!

How do you like your Pivot kit? Have you gotten yours yet? I got mine on Thursday and installed all on Friday! Pretty easy install, and the DR.X kits and is tight! You have to ge the switchboard to use the Lightning & Hazard and i like these the most and found a use to them, on stop lights wehn it is very dark night!!

Mike, Yeah, i really like my GYT system! The quality is WAY better than years past and i could really feel a gain in torque, and torque is more fun than horsepower! It is a little on the loud side, but nothing compared to like Jardine race etc.. Real nice low toned grunt and nice top end scream.

I had a hard time deciding between GYT-R, Graves, M4. I really wanted graves, but wanted carbon and wanted to keep my passenger pegs, luckily a guy on r6messagenet.com told me about the yamaha picture goof, my dealer was even surprised to find that out.

Haven't got the pivot kit yet, should monday or tuesday i'd think. I think i'm gonna love it, but i just hope that the plate can be angled up high towards the rear instead of straight up and down etc.. I've got my plate angled waaaaay up and back now with a blue LED wired in for light, makes it nice and hard to read, but just legal, except for light.

Might have to do a little modifying to the bracket to get her where i want it. We'll see.

I should have pix for DJ to post on the home page by the end of this week.

Hey Red,
I am glad to hear that the GYT-R's are pretty good! I am considering the Hindles, Aratas and the Devils and i had a close bid on the TiForce on Ebay!! It got sold for $680 & my max bid was $670.
So GYT-R put out torque huh, that is something to consider. And by your description i like it so far! Well except for that highmount HOAX! But atleast they have carbon available.

Regarding the Pivot Kit. I had that same problem, the plate does mount straight down. One of my friend who also has a 03 R6 got the Pivot Kit and he had a simple solution. He rotated the brackets towards the back and mount the plates that way. It looks weird since the bracket shows up on the front of the plate but it gives you that high angled look!
I will post some pics, (how do i do that here?) or do i ask Deej to post them?

Mike

Yeah, GYT claimed 15% gain in midrange torque i think, i could really feel it in 1st and second gear pull. I haven't got a chance to dyno tune yet although i did plan on it this summer. But getting some dyno time testing this winter is in my plans so i should have some custom maps for the exhaust and some other goodies.

My roomate just called and my pivot kit came today at my house where i go to college, i just happen to be home today. Rode bike here and it's raing and 40 degrees

Now i won't be able to get the kit on or get pics till like saturday!! damn damn

I'm gonna figure out a good clean idea for the kit to make the plate ride where i want it. Sounds and looks like i might have to fabricate a whole new lower piece (piece plate mounts to), should be interesting

Where you want it is flipped all the way up so no one can read it
