Anyone have the torque spec for the rear sprocket nuts??? Also any idea on the front rotor bolts. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks for any replies.

Re: What is the torque spec for rear sprocket???

service manual says 72... but i'd be VERY careful if you decide to take it that high. me and one other dude that i know did it successfully but another two broke AT LEAST one bolt off (one of em broke THREE). i'd feel safe at the 60 mark with loctite. good luck.

No loctite needed, they are locknuts. Just torque them down, they won't loosen up.

i was only saying use loctite since specs say 72, but he'd only be going to 60 or so. i'm just glad i GOT mine there w/o breaking any lugs off.

Tight is the spec I tighten mine up as tight as I can with a 3/8 ratchet 14k later still no problems and I've done it about 10 times.

Be careful with the rotor bolts, they have loktite on them. I learned that the hard way when I took my rotors off a long time ago.

Re: What is the torque spec for rear sprocket???

ya, its best to get a torch on the rotor bolts to melt te loctite first.
also, you cannot get a proper torque reading when there is loctite on the bolt or stud, thats why you have had broken studs.....................
