New to the site

Hi, I've been looking around here a bit and I wanted to hear some of you guys opinions. I know you get a lot of threads like this but. I am trying to figure out the right bike for me. I grew up on dirt bikes. I've ridden harleys a couple of times and I ride my dads Vstar 1100 a decent amount but I haven't owned my own bike yet. I'm kinda set on gettin a 2001 R6, in red if possible. I'm just wondering what you guys think about that considering my experience level. I'm 20 years old and had my permit about a year now. I have also considered the Ninja 250 but am afraid I'm already grown out of it. Let me know what you think.

Re: New to the site

Welcome.. As long as you respect the extra power you will have you should be fine starting on a 600. Alot of people start there.
