'06 R6 Throwing Error 1 Code

My 2006 R6 is throwing an error1 code at me on the gauge. Its not turning over but the battery is not dead b/c gauges wake up and the headlight comes on etc. I dont have access to the manual to look it up, anyone know what error1 is all about?

Thanks

Re: '06 R6 Throwing Error 1 Code

just so you know, the starter takes many more amps than anything on the bike, everything else can work perfect and the battery can be bad,

i dont know what the code means, but find out what exactly it does, does the starter relay click? does the starter make any noise?

Re: '06 R6 Throwing Error 1 Code

If the code says ER-1 than it is - No signals are received from the ECU.

there is no diag code 1 only error code

yep ER_1, also i called a few local shops and no one could give me an answer. the closest i got was one tech telling me that the code is for fuel injection which makes no sense considering my problem.

Re: '06 R6 Throwing Error 1 Code

no piggybacking items. I'll check the fuses in a few hours when i get home from work. Any chance i just need a new battery? someone else suggested thsi might be the problem.

Re: '06 R6 Throwing Error 1 Code

Unless u have ur own volt meter.. in that case it should read 12 volts or more to start... if u dont have one u could bring it to the places stated above... if it reads under 12 volts replace it... i always use oe batteries a little expensive but some motorcycle stores online sell the oe ones for $40
