Dam cars that leak oil on the road!!!

Went out for a ride last night after putting on the blue flame, i went down the street that has a decline and an s curve, its probably only a few hundred feet long and it connects to a major road that goes along the charles river in boston. anyway i run down the road and turn around and head back 5 minutes later. as my way up the short S road, i see a bike on the side of the road parked. goin a bit further i see a guy walking and the back of his forarm looked like hamburger meat. he was wearing a sweat shirt. i pulled over to see if he needed anything. he tells me that a car leaked oil down the road, and i saw an oil slick about 6" wide down the road. he hit it and went down. i offered him my phone and help, he said he was a bit shoken up and that he lived around the corner and was ok. i rode off and thought dam, if i was 5 minutes earlier i could have crashed my 6.

there are so many things to wtch out for on the road. be careful and get good gear.

I'm glad you and your baby are safe... I hope the unfortunate rider heeds your warning and buys himself some better gear. You never know when you are going to need it.

another crash near the house. yesterday i rode for less than a mile to fill my r6 up with some 93 but i put my gear on. gotta ride safe.

I'm annoyed with the oil too. I complain to myself everyday I ride the bike around town. Soo many cars/trucks leave that crap on the road, its crazy. The other day I had to ride over a coolent spill in my lane. Looked like every drop of coolent came out of the junker..

but that stuff is crazy though, i didn't know things like oil can do that to motorcyclist.

yeah almost anything affects a motorcyclist. I wrecked cause a few measly little pebbles in a blind turn.

anything can affect riding, today i was riding it was fine then all of a sudden it got windy as anything and started to rain a little i went home 35mph on a highway.

the other day someone in a SUV threw out a cigarette in front of me and i swerved a little bit as it is anyones first reaction to avoid anything coming straight at you. i almost hit a big pot hole because of that a-hole!
