what type of oil should i use

im looking at my owners manual for my 2007 r6... and it list 5 types of oils i can use....

10w-30
10w-40
15w-40
20w-40
20w-50

i guess it has to do with temperature and such

you don't need the 20w oils.

Re: what type of oil should i use

10w40 should be fine for you. As said above, Amsoil is an excellent choice if you are looking to go with synthetics.

Re: what type of oil should i use

I use Mobil MX4T because it is available locally and highly rated. Also use a Pure One filter. FWIW, regular oil changes are more important than the brand.

Re: what type of oil should i use

i use amsoil for my first ever change... but aside from that, i think any type of syntec oil should be fine... as long as it's for bikes..
