Re: 2017 R6 oil change

I've always used Yamalube, but I'm very tempted on trying out the Motul or Mobil1 for a change. Definitely sticking to 10w 40 for sure.

Re: 2017 R6 oil change

When looking through online dealer for OEM parts, I normally come across having to select between six or so different R6 models, anyone know what the last two letters is the model number mean? I know CA is for California.
Also anyone know the correct part number for the oil filter wrench?
Where do you all buy from online? My local dealers are not good.

Example:
YZFR6 (YZFR6HB)
YZFR6 (YZFR6HCB) CA
YZFR6 (YZFR6HCL) CA
YZFR6 (YZFR6HCW) CA
YZFR6 (YZFR6HL)
YZFR6 (YZFR6HW)

Ya'll over complicate this.

I use Acme Motor Oil. It's Wile E. Coyote approved!

just model year and color options. if you live in the usa partshark.com or ron ayers are two good online sources for oem parts

I'm still using Yamalube conventional for my breaking period

I will switch to full synthetic after I hit 1000 miles or so and mine is a 2018 R6.

For what it's worth, if you want full synthetic yamalube they only make 15w50 as someone mentioned but didn't totally confirm above.
