2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Bleeding Blue Bike Build)

2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Bleeding Blue Bike Build)

History
I purchased my first bike back in 2008. She was a blue 1998 Yamaha YZF600R. I had never even driven a stick shift before I brought her home. I paid $1,500 and the subs out of my truck. She was in very rough shape, and had been laid over multiple times. The guy I bought the bike from had to drive it to my house and then give me lesson on how to ride, and shift. I spent about a week just putting around the sub division before I had to head out on the main road to go get gas. I only had the bike for a few months before I left for the Air Force and sold her for about $2000.

In 2010 I purchased a blue 2008 Yamaha YZF-R6 with 2k miles for $6,000. I loved that bike more than anything I have ever owned in my life. I installed flush mounted blinkers, frame sliders, and a 2 brothers carbon fiber exhaust. I had to sale my bike due to a divorce in 2012 but again sold the bike for more then I paid for it.

Present
I just purchased a blue 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 with only 10 miles on her. I am not in the USA right now (6/18/2014), but I will be getting home this Saturday (6/21/2014) for 1 week of R&R. I will be moving back to Idaho soon for good and I have not been on a bike for several years ,so I decided it was about time to get back on that horse.

Future
I just made a $2,170.94 purchase from

i really like the white and blue looks good. That stock exhaust is hideous tho it will look good with the new exhaust lol. Just gotta get the fender eliminator and integrated signals and she will be very clean looking man.

Re: 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Bleeding Blue Bike Build)

Thanks guys. I was hoping the parts would arrive while I was home... but I think Motomummy was waiting on the exhaust from the factory. So the parts will not arrive while I am home to install them.

For now this is a pic of my girls meeting for the first time. My 2005 F150 prerunner and My 2014 R6.

I have $20k in the suspension alone. This is a video of me testing it out while I was home. The last jump was a big one and the only damage was a dented skid plate.

Re: 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Bleeding Blue Bike Build)

Purchasing a few more parts for my bike. I decided I like the black and blue more then the blue and white. So I contacted Auctmarts on hear and I am purchasing these. I am also purchasing Graves smog plates and EXup eliminator. Some day I will be back state side to install all of my new goodies.

Re: 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Bleeding Blue Bike Build)

Tracking number came in for the Auctmart fairings today. They should be at my house this week or early next. Now I just need to wait about a month before I get back to the US to install all the parts. I bought the bike this year with like 50 miles on her and she only has about 250 miles so far... Its going to be a long winter of just looking at her but atleaste I will have plenty to do.
