So no one commented on this project after OP posted the final product???

Great work, the bike definitely looks the part, you picked the right blue for the paint.

Any other mods planned for it?

Looking at the activity of the forum, some may have missed it. I know I did. The end result turned out great.

Nice craftsmanship and ingenuity. I guess this is the type of creativity Yamaha expects to see in personal projects.

I love my R6, but...there's no buts...

Thanks and yep I'm still working on it. I put on Galfer braided lines, case covers, and a radiator cover recently. Currently putting on a gear indicator and then going to do a quick shifter.

Re: 2009 R6 Track Bike Conversion (2017+ Fairings)

Just an update:

I installed an "Idea" gear shift indicator from Amazon. I had problems finding a power wire for it and ended up accidentally using the neutral switch, which obviously would lose power "randomly" on me. I then just tapped the exup plug instead and that did the trick.

I also swapped back in the stock rear suspension linkages and had the bike set to my weight and size. First day to use it is Friday!

Other miscellaneous things:
1. The decals are also now clear coated on too.
2. I removed some unnecessary wiring and horn
3. Secured wiring under the seat better. The tip over sensor is now attached to the cross brace and then I made use of double sided tape for some of the relays.
