How hard is it to rebuild forks?

So my forks are completely blown out, no doubt, they’ve been leaking for months now but I think it’s time to fix them lol. I got a quote from a shop charging $450 to get them fixed.
How hard is it to rebuild/ fix your own fork seals at home?
I’m just scared of taking it apart and just ****ing it up even more
Fork seal kit is only about $100
And I have a soft vice and all the common hand tools, ratchets, wrenches, etc.
Are there any other special tools I need?

Dave Moss has a video showing how to rebuild forks. Give it a watch and see if it's something you can tackle.

Watch Dave Moss's video - and there are many others on YouTube.
And never go to that shop again.
