I have the Yammy QS and it works perfect, I did a track day with it yesterday and it worked very well but it only upshifts,, whats the best alternative that lets you QS both up and down?
why do you need anything to cut in on downshifts??? And are you using the slipper 100%?
Im trying to think of a corner approach, at any single track, where that would even be necessary?? Auto blipper I get... just dont understand the need for anything to be interupted on a downshift???
the autoblip is basically taking the place of you manually winging the throttle on downshifts. I would guess you can program it to activate at the push of a button so a corner that requires you to go from 5th to 2nd can be put into autoblip mode and with proper slipper clutch setup you dont upset the chassis or traction. The autoblip simply opens the throttle bodies a smidge so you dont lock up the rear tire on multi gear down shifts.
YAMMY LOL i havent heard it said like that since the last time I used a O2R96 or PM5D.. lolol
What year is your bike? think twice about FTECU I have a long post on that product with the 2018 R6. Basically it doesnt work. try the Translogic or Woolich..
Ah cool. yeah i now see where you tagged in on it.. Master Blaster.. Thats what we would call Master Chief at my command.
none the less, i have no doubt FTECU stuff works on other bikes. I just dont want other people wasting 800 bucks like i did on the R6
Anthony at Bauce racing has been super cool and has been a great resource. Im starting to really understand this stuff. I like the idea of translogic not being dependent on the ECU it works directly with the injectors (for the Auto Blip).
I’m in the same boat, I purchased last fall for 800$ and now they have cut the price. I called and spoke to Kirk to ask for a refund or a price match but not luck.... (I guess the newer style sensor they are using is cheaper then the duel one that they used last year)
And I am not happy at all with the downshift feature as it intermittently works....
