Gasket tip

I adjusted my valves and I need a new gasket for the manual cam chain tensioner and pickup rotor cover. Will that blue or red gasket maker you can buy at walmart for like $4 work just fine for those 2 or will be better just to buy a gasket because the gasket maker won't be able to hold the oil in?

Re: Gasket tip

you will need to use gray gasket maker. I would prefer to use yamabond 4. which is the specified sealant yamaha says to use in the service manual on the engine.
there's going to be a few people chime in with OMG NEVER USE GASKET MAKER ON YOUR BIKE COVERS!!! which is silly because the engine is put together with it. just dont over use it. you do not want it squishing out and falling into the engine.
