Fairings not lining up

Ok so I noticed my fairings on the R6 I just bought used, were not mounted using every mount hole.
I took all the fairings off while doing some work and when I went to put them on, I mounted them using all the holes like it’s suppose to go, but if I do that then the front sits too high and you can not get the front fairing on?
I also noticed previous owner had to shave the belly portion of the lowers so it wasn’t hitting the tire.
Is this normal or did the previous owner put on fairings for a different year or something?

Re: Fairings not lining up

I'm having a similar issue with Monster Fairings where a bunch of mounting points for the fairings don't have any bolts in them, I'm going to have to take it all apart and put it back together some time.

2002 front fairing hitting wheel, you sir are the proud owner of a bent frame R6. that's the classic bent frame issue everyone was having.

Bent frame or bent forks? If bent frame, is that specific to first-gen ?

frame. the whole front head area bends pretty easy on the 1st gen. any good whack from a crash and the front wheel was rubbing the fairings below the radiators.
