Question 2011 R6 fork setting help!

Hello,

I'd like to start by saying, I try not reside to questions on forums without exercising my search options.

I have a 2011 YZFR6"A" and I have been using the 2008 r6 pdf service manual online, but I am getting mixed answers all over the place.

I am looking for the factory fork height, and factory fork oil level.

Some people are saying the 08'+ forks are supposed to be 10mm above the TC due to the longer design from previous years, but the 08' manual states to be flush with the TC.

I am also reading the fork oil level should be 103mm air gap in the 08' manual, but other info I am getting is saying 120mm.

Due to the confusion, I am looking into buying a service manual but the options for the years are throwing me off too. I am finding 09'-11', 09'-12', 06'-13' and 09'15'.

If someone can clear up what I am not understanding about the years of the bikes, and get me a definite answer on fork height and oil level, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advanced, and apologies for any newbie questions as I am new to the r6 world this year.

I did last year when I worked at a yamaha dealership. I ****ed up and didn't bother to download everything I could before I quit lol

I do know a reliable source you can get in touch with about the suspension setup. his name is Dave Moss.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
he also has a ton of youtube videos and does a lot of R6 stuff.

Thanks for the reply!

I am familiar with Dave Moss, and have seen a bunch of his videos.

I did think of trying to get a hold of him, but wasn't sure if this was the kind of question he would want to be bothered with.
