Question MJS Header install issue

Hi! I've recently bought a MJS header and have recently just put it on the bike. Now I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but I do have some knowledge and I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I've unbolted the MJS headers from the ports 3 times just to make sure and I'm unable to get the header to sit any closer / go in more than it will. Flanges are nice and tight and won't go any further. This is a picture I found from the MJS website themselves and it is exactly how mine is looking.

Thank you for the help!

Appreciate the response and clarification! I was just so confused and even measured the male part of MJS headers vs. my stock and they were same measurements from the 'neck' up but sweet! I'll just wait until my ECU gets back to start her up and make sure everything is good.

Thanks Flyers28!
