2010 R6 leaking oil out hose PLEASE HELP

so washed my bike today then did some spirited riding with my friend (ver aggressive) and when we stopped and got off i notice my bike had been sparying oil all up the exhaust and all the way up to the rear seat, i managed to trace it to this hose which is dry rotted with little holes and im 90% sure it is coming out of here, i have a friend who can do the job for me but i need to know exactly what i need and or if this means something more serious,
please help thank you

Re: 2010 R6 leaking oil out hose PLEASE HELP

those hoses are usually from the gas tank or the coolant recovery tank. oil should not be coming out of it.
you either way over filled the engine with oil or you have a seal leaking from something. you're going to have to remove the fairings and find out where. I can see that you've crashed it on that side before. so I would suspect something may be damaged. the water pump does have an oil seal in it. I am not sure it can leak externally though.
a oil cooler line may be leaking too.
if you recently changed the oil and lost the oring to the filler cap on the clutch cover it could be that. and make sure your dipstick isn't missing it's oring and that it's screwed in tight.

and if it is that which is possible because there's oil around the cap, but regardless it leaking an oily substance from the dry rotted hose I just can't find that hose online

if it's one from the gas tank they often leak what resembles oil. not sure why but i've seen it on my bikes as well.
it seems to do it when it sits in the sun mainly. but I took it to the track before and it left a 4" spot in my bed.

With oil sprayed all over the place, I don't know how you can say for certain it's coming from any 1 place. Clean it up real good and run the bike and try to pinpoint the leak. I'm with yamahacrazy on this one, In your pics I don't see the hose you're referring to. The 2 fat hoses are coolant lines in your pics. I've seen the pickup rotor cover leak before. Maybe take a pic of said hose and circle it to avoid any more confusion.

it's one of the tank vent or coolant overflow hoses stuffed in the foam. it's supposed to be hanging down out of the bottom of the fairings but someone tucked it up in the foam. look at the first picture it's next to the clutch cable

Yea but that makes no sense, it's a vent hose. Only thing ever coming out of there is Coolant. That's why I was confused what hose he pinpointed as the culprit.

If it's leaking from the pickup rotor cover it will drip onto that hose, maybe that is where the confusion lies....?

I can see oil "far" back on the swing arm, as well as on the outside of the lower fairing. FOr it to do all that, it must be coming out with some amount of pressure. Should be easy to spot after cleaning things up and running it on the stand.
