Starting issue.

I have a 2000 r6. I just replaced the spark plugs and had my carbs rebuilt. I'm getting fuel and spark but she still wont start and I dont know what the issue could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Starting issue.

you're not getting one or both. it's a carbed bike. simple as pie. spray starting fluid or brake cleaner in it and see if it runs. if not then you're not getting spark.
did it run prior to all the work?

Re: Starting issue.

Sure you have all the hoses from the carbs connected up correctly? Sound sounds like it isnt getting fuel...

I'm not getting any spark at all now. I'm told it might be my cdi but I dont want to dump the money on it if it's not how do I know for sure

Re: Starting issue.

it's a 99% probability it's the CDI. no spark on multiple coils is almost always the cdi. however the pickup coil on the crank could also be bad. if it doesn't send the signal to the cdi the cdi wont work.

Definitely test the wiring prior to dumping money into the devices on either end.
