Shark fin on 2005 R6.

Hey guys.

I'm looking at getting a shark fin / chain guard for my '05 R6.

Looking at the swingarm, it looks like there is a mounting point there already.
Is this indeed intended for a shark fin?

What brands would you guys recommend?

It probably is not intended for a shark fin, and I would recommend woodcraft.

When you want to win, when there is no substitute for the best, when you don't want to feel the sting of second place, you really only have one place to turn.

EDR Performance, because their fast is faster than everyone else's

hmm, i thought it was. it's a little tab with two holes on it. it's right where a chain guard/fin would go.

Maybe it is... I dont have and have never had an 03-05... I thought you had to drill and tap the swingarm.

from the link i just posted:
Fitment: The Graves Motorsports Shark Guards have a universal fitment and can be used on motorcycle swingarms with a flat underside and various sport bike where a flat bolting surface is available.

I know Jordan was telling me the woodcraft one required drilling and tapping the SA...(pretty sure it was you Jordan).... Either does the job....

Re: Shark fin on 2005 R6.

Just took these pics. Looks like a shark fin mount to me. What else could possibly mount there?

Just needs a fin with vertical holes.
