New to the whole track thing and i am starting to realize that this s**t is expensive lol anyways im looking at some tirewarmers are the worth it for a noob or shold i hold off untill i get my speed up and get in the right positions on the bike? Also a generator. Bike was stripped of the stock wire harness so there is no charging system its a first gen so it will last a little bit but i was gonna take a charger just in case what size generator will i need to put a charge on the batteries and use the warmers if i do get them?

2k watt genny is good. there's been generator sizing discussions on here with AGG. Feel free to search for them.

The most important thing for a newb is track time. If you can afford the warmers AND track time, it's a no brainer. If it's one or the other, choose track time. And if you're on street tires, the warmers only buy you a couple extra laps a session and some less tearing if you you're rough on the gas.

Yup, your wallet is gonna be feeling light. As for the warmers I wouldn't worry about them yet, but it kinda depends on the tires you are using.
Idk anything bout using the generator but most tracks have power hook ups at each pit pad

Think old school bro. Dudes used to remove the stators from the bike and run races on the battery only. There's a fair amount of extra power to be had there. No Fuel injection makes this possible

No need for warmers yet. Learn to ride the track before you try to be that guy

Your new to the track and prob on stock or non race tires, so heat cycles aren't an issue. After 1-2 laps your tires should be good to go I'd use the money to get more track time and as you progress and times get faster you may want to upgrade but as was said earlier get you check book ready Trackdays are $$$$$$, there is a lot of great info on here.

Re: this s**t is expensive!!!!!

Im not gonna be on new tires. My father works with a guy that races he gets take offs from a guy and runs 3 or 4 races on them so i figure i can get good life out of them being new and probably not a rough as he is does that change the tire warmers issue? Iv seen on another thread that takeoffs need tire warmers????

I'd use warmers then. The tires are gonna be hardened a bit. They will also be slick as shit until they get warm. MUCH slicker than a cold street tire.

Also, with take offs, you don't have much tread life left. So you'll need to avoid cold tearing at all costs. Cold tears can destroy a tire in less than half a day.
