New to the whole track thing and i am starting to realize that this s**t is expensive lol anyways im looking at some tirewarmers are the worth it for a noob or shold i hold off untill i get my speed up and get in the right positions on the bike? Also a generator. Bike was stripped of the stock wire harness so there is no charging system its a first gen so it will last a little bit but i was gonna take a charger just in case what size generator will i need to put a charge on the batteries and use the warmers if i do get them?

Stick with street/track rubber and don't worry about warmers. They're a pain in the ass. It's not like you've got one warm-up lap and the flag drops ... no one wins track days.

So true though. Its always better to go racing to fight over a $2.50 plastic trophy anyway.

When you want to win, when there is no substitute for the best, when you don't want to feel the sting of second place, you really only have one place to turn.

EDR Performance, because their fast is faster than everyone else's

Yes it is.

Don't worry about tire warmers. Just run 2 or 3 laps at a moderate pace and let it rip. Also check your tire pressures as soon as you get back to the pits. You'll be surprised how much they will go up when you get them really heated up.

Re: this **** is expensive!!!!!

It's very expensive. I try to make it cheaper by:

Riding with a friend, splitting gas money.
Bringing my own lunch/drinks.
Trying not to stay at hotels.

It also helps that I'm a slow ass so tires and gas isn't too bad for me.

Re: this **** is expensive!!!!!

Most important thing to remember is don't go out to impress anyone. Ride your own pace. You should be riding at about 70 percent of your potential. Just on the edge of your comfort zone. This keeps you from having panic reactions and makes you safer. As your comfort increases so will your speeds.
