Track School in Cali

Hey guys I'm looking to get off the streets and start track riding in the near months. First off I am wondering if you have any suggestions on a track school somewhere near San Diego. My bike is pretty much ready to go, but what are some things I should make sure are set before I go. My suspension is tuned already but I will need new tires so any suggestions there are welcome. Thanks for the help.

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.

I really enjoyed fast track riders beginner school out at ACS Fontana. Ratio back then was 1 instructor to every 4 students.
Multiple class sessions, a garage, power, and shade.
Great times

I am planning on going to ACS track day on 4/22 (Friday) for the first time. I am not new to riding, but it will be my first time on the track, so I will be signing up for Level 1 & their first-time track class. Here is the event page:

Sure you can, if the OP lives in SoCal, and the closest YCRS event is in AZ....and there are 1/2 a dozen tracks/track day schools in the area.

Re: Track School in Cali

Almost every southern California track day organization will have first-timer instruction available - and usually mandatory.

FastrackRiders
TrackDaz
Let's Ride Trackdays
TrackXperience
Motoyard
2Wheel Trackdays

are all the track day orgs that offer beginner instruction, off the top of my head. Auto Club Speedway and Chuckwalla Valley Raceway are the closest tracks to San Diego. Willow Springs and Buttonwillow are a little further. There's also Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Spring Mountain if you're interested in making the drive to Vegas.

If you're looking for more formal instruction, you can check out Keith Code's California Superbike School and Jason Pridmore's Star Motorcycle School. I'd recommend getting a few track days under your belt before investing in one of those though - you'll get a lot more out of it if you're already familiar with the track, and general track day procedures, so you can just focus on your riding skills.

Hope that helps!

When all else fails, you can always rent a pick-up truck.
