Laguna seca dB killer

Hey guys! New to the forums, so I thought this would be a good way to get into it. Anybody have any experience passing Laguna seca?s dB limit with an aftermarket exhaust and dB killer? Currently have a yoshimura exhaust and just received my silencer, but just wondering if anybody has any experience passing it like that?

you get 2 chances per day. Most bikes Ive seen have the db insert pointed to the clutch side.
A bone stock R6 can trip the sound meter from just the intake noise.
The meter is at Turn 5, FYI. Sometimes they check the front straight as well.

I took my '17 R6 up to Laguna Seca right after I got it (bone stock except for the flash & 1 tooth down in the front) and I was going wide open in 3rd gear up the hill from 5 to 6 and I never tripped the noise meter. There was no meter on the front straight the day I was there. Getting back to the OP's question you will pop the meter if you go up the hill wide open. You will need to be in a taller gear like 4th or 5th to keep your rpms down. The other option is to a crazy-ass looking silencer which sticks out the back of your exhaust pipe, they are really weird looking.

I don't know how that setup will fare, but I would just run it and see what happens. You can do a sound check lap where they will tell you what is measured, and blowing the limit during the test will not count against you. Do that first thing in the morning to see where you measure up, and then ride accordingly. If you don't pass at WOT, you will just have to baby it going up the hill. I have a Leo Vince full system and no insert, so it is well over the limit. When I exit turn 5 I quickly shift from 2nd to 4th gear, and keep the revs below 12k. Once I brake for turn 6 I can go back to normal. I've never hit the limit doing that.
