What is a good starting setting for the TCS for my first Track Day?

Why not get a couple of good licks off the safest setting, then work your way to the next?

Not bad advice at all, but it also depends on your track experience. if you're new to track riding, or never had traction control, start as Intuit said and turn the TC all the way up. If you're an experienced racer or track day rider, comfortable with the bike moving around under you and sliding, start in the middle.

I agree with the above setiments. My first track day on my S1000RR I left TC all the way on with the plan of turning it down all day. In the end I never moved it during my first day, I was having too much fun and forgot all about it. With a 600 I would recommend starting to dial TC down as you learn the track and find what your comfortable with.

If TC isn't kicking on in the corners at max settings, don't touch it, its not even effecting you yet and it will save you in a slide. If your TC light is flashing a lot when you try to accel into the exit, think about turning it down.
