Speedometer and Miles Vs. New Sprocket

1st off I apologize, because I know this question had probably already been posted but... I recently bought a 07 r6 and I want to go with a -1 +2 sprocket change. I hear from some of my friends that that makes your bike off in MPH and also makes your miles wrong aswell. I was wondering if this is true; if so, is there anything that i can get to correct those 2 problems.

1 Question with that. It sais it bypasses the topspeed limiter on select models. Do you know if it does it on the o7 r6 ? But thanks for that, very nice product.
