? for TD junkies

Boots..., I have a set of Nitro race boots, they were cheap and they got me out there. Now, after 6 (I think?) TDs, and a little bit of street riding, I've worn a hole in the bottom right at the ball of my feet. Left-side is worse, and after a day at TallyGP, I'm gimping around.

So yes, I know, they are cheaper boots. And yes, I know it'll happen, and is only amplified since I'm 210 w/ Vortex "knobby" pegs. But, I really don't want to be dropping $250-$300+ each year for a new set of boots. So in your experiences, which brands have soles that seem to last longer?

FYI, I have a wider foot, so some of the Euro boots are too skinny for me.

Unfortunately thost knobbies are a bear. You can try contacting the manufacturer. I race and am pretty tough on boots, I tore through a set of Oxtar's this year and Oxtar (now TCS) is sending me a new set of the brand new boots on warranty. Not bad.

The Sidi Vertigo has been pretty good to me. They do cost $275 but well worth it. They also have good air flow for the hot weather. Good luck with your next choice.
