Re: 1/4 mile times

Going to the track tomorrow...just installed my 15T sprocket. I had an 01 R6 that I ran a 10.9?. Hopefully its close to that. I have to run against one of my newbie buddies that just got a 07 gsxr1000. I hope he stalls at the line, because thats the only chance I have at getting to the other end first.

second time he spun pretty bad off the line...

Re: 1/4 mile times

Well my old bike was faster...I just cant seem to get this to launch right. My best time was a 11.55 (with my tire spinning at the start). The other 5 times I ran 11.8-9's. Most of the starts the bike would lift up the front...I rode the one until I started going towards the center line and still got a 11.8. I just have to practice some more I guess...oh, and my buddies new gsxr1000 was running low 11's.

Re: 1/4 mile times

i went to to the track last Friday with a friend was curious what it would run well here it goes.

what im running... Completely stock 07 R6r.

pass #1: 11.60 @ 125mph
pass #2: 11.59 @ 124mph
pass #3: 11:49 @ 123mph (yeah actually a good launch but short shifted)
pass #4: 11:62 @ 124mph (totally messed this run up)
pass #5: 11.28 @ 127mph (good run but i think i can run better)

i don't know if anyone else with a 07 is having 60ft issues like i am or not; the bike just seems really sluggish off the start i'm really debating on switching the gear out to a -1 on the front + 5 on the back combo.

i was racing against a gsxr 750 ( his best pass of the night was a 10.96 @ 130mph. looking at the slips hes pulling ahead of me about .20 from 60ft - 1/8 mile and another .20 from 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile.

Re: 1/4 mile times

I actually just at the track friday night. I started in the 11.7's then after prolly 5 runs i started to get my launch down. then my last 4 runs were as followed
11.46
11.38
11.29
and my best of the night was 11.21 @ 126mph.
I know i can break 11 flat i just need to get my 60ft down it was aroudn 1.8 - 1.9 around there and i can do better.
