Mileage on a Track Bike?

Have an '05 R6 with about 11,500 miles on it. Been doing more and more track days with it with no mechnical problems and it hasn't been down.

I'm deciding on whether to sell mine and buying a lower mileage bike that will be primarily a track bike, or just keeping mine.

I just figure also that mine is worth relatively more now then track bike.

Unless you're planning on getting a newer generation R6, I would keep your bike. Your mileage is nothing with which to be concerned.

Re: Mileage on a Track Bike?

I have about 27k on the motor, but it was rebuilt about 500 miles ago. It would have ran forever if the shop didn't blow it up.

Re: Mileage on a Track Bike?

Great to hear that i don't need to really worry about the mielage on bike at this moment...

although i think I secretly wanted it to be an issue so I would have an excuse to look at a new bike =)
