I'm new to sport bikes and got a myself a 2002 r6 project . My boyfriend & I swap the frame and everything already & ordered plastics and all the cosmetic stuff . But can't find a headlight . 1999-2002 headlights are $150.00 but the 2003-2010 are $40.00 . Trying to find a cheap headlight . Anyone know and good websites . Another question I had is what is compatible between the r6 & r1 for my year . Thanks

Re: 2002 r6

The R1 and R6 do not have interchangeable body parts. Rims and brakes are probably about it. You can swap the forks but it takes some know how. Headlights are a no-go.

For parts, ebay and craigslist are most common. google "all of craigslist" and you can search the whole US and hopefully find someone that will ship. You can also try posting a WTB on the Bay Area Rider Forum, the WERA forum, and obviously the R6 sites. Look for some part out threads, too.

When you want to win, when there is no substitute for the best, when you don't want to feel the sting of second place, you really only have one place to turn.

EDR Performance, because their fast is faster than everyone else's

Re: 2002 r6

I had to bust out $215 for a brand new headlight for my 02 on auctmarts.com, I'd look on ebay for a good used one if you wanna get a better price

Contact Jeff Cyman on Facebook (R6 Gen One page). He owns Stripped Down Motorsports, and parts out 1st gen R6's a lot. He probably has anything you need. Tell him Sheldon sent you, he's also in Lakeland, FL.

shit, just noticed this was from last year......... ^^^^ Dylan, its all you fault LOL.
