I have looked everywhere, (probably not hard enough someone will say) but I cant seem to find a published 0-60 speed and others (0-100 etc.) anywhere for the new to 2008 R6. Anyone know these !?!? Thanks guys.
I realize a lot will depend on rider skill and so on and so forth but I figured they had to have a best time, or at least some other statistics about the bikes speed aside from the 170mph barrier.opcorn:
"Fast Bikes" is one of the Uk's largest motorcycle magazines and is especially aimed at the hardcore performance bike rider and modifier.
They recently did a 600 class war and they do full testings on the bikes.
2008 R6 results were;
wow, ya gona have to bear with me for that one, wen i get some time il start digging out my old magazines cos ive got loads, and post those stats, but don't expect them to much different at all.!!!!!!!
Hey, here's some news;
went to my garage today and finally picked up my 08 bike.
there was a kid there who was fixing is 08 track bike. turns out he's a british superstock racer. superstock has some strict rules including no tweaks to the engine mapping. there only allowed a few mods like full exhaust kit, brake lines, etc... and run a one tyre rule (metzer m3's)
He had a full carbon ackropovic and told me that on speed testings that the 08 yamaha's are always top 5 in the rankings and no other 600's come close. he said that there alot faster than the 06/07 due to the lower grunt ycci tweaks that yamaha have added this year.
So there's some good news for you 08 owners.
i din't stick around for long and i didn't ask too many questions so i couldnt give you exact figures
