02 Tail on 00?

You have to swap the undertail, battery box, and tail lights. http://www.drexelmgt.com/Lee/tail/ complete how to with pics.
I did this same mod about a month ago and its pretty easy. I got integrated 01-02 tail light on ebay for 50 bucks. I bought my undertail and battery box from Mr. Cycle.com but i would not recommend them as there service and shipping time are awful. You can find them at any place that sells yamaha parts. The hardest part is fitting all the wires back under the seat.

I assume that you got the clear alternatives light from ebay. That looks like a nice light, I am doing this mod really soon and am going to pick up a smoke unit from the clear alternatives website since theres no ones on ebay.


Don't forget to mention that if you are going to use the battery from your 00 you are going to need to modify the battery box a little bit in order to get it all to fit right.

Yeah i got those same tinted lights on ebay. And your right about the trimming of the battery box. just a few plastic tabs have to be cut off for the big battery. Makes it a bitch to fit all the wires under the seat but it can be done.:swordfigh
