Hi.A few days ago i started my r6 up,it idled for a few minutes and then shutoff on its on.I could not start it up again. So i took the spark plugs out and checked them and also checked if they fire.I thought it was the fuel pump.So i replaced the fuel pump and put new spark plugs. It started right up.I took it for a ride and i could not start to move only if i reved it pass 6000rpm.It lacks serious power and only struggles to rev up to 8000rpm and no further. Also if i open the throttle wide it a slows down.I suspect faulty coils, but i'm not sure.Any hints? Thanks

Could be. Could went bad on my '05 and it felt like I was riding a 3-cylinder. The engine was lacking power and it sounded like it was skipping a cylinder at idle. I was still able to ride it 50 miles to get home, but it was obvious something wasn't right.

If u cant see any physical damage with a naked eye put a multi meter on them and ohm them, see if they read within spec. Also u can take a temp reading of the headers, the one that stands out from the other 3 will tell u the cylinder isn't firing. If u don't have a Pyro meter spare water on the header and watch bow quickly it boils/evaporates.

Ok i checked coil resistance.Primary is 1.2Ω on all 4 coils and secondary is ~5kΩ also on all 4 coils.Primary seems out of spec as per manual while secondary is within specs.Does this mean all four are defective?

in my opinion, since all are measuring equal, they are fine. If one was out of whack from the others, i would suspect an issue.
While the coils are out, change the plugs (i think you did that already though). just some cheap ngk cr10ek is all you need (all i use in my race bikes, as do most racers i know), so don't bother with IR plugs. I
