Ive picked up an cheap 05 r6 trackbike to use as a project. Due to health issues im un able to work so money is tight, but time is plenty.

The bike came pretty well speced, raceglass(currently repairing),woodcraft rearsets, engine covers, clip ons, braided lines, slip on,pc3, aftermarket veroliticy stacks(seems to be only the center two?) drilled for lockwiring,wp rearshock and a heap of spares.

Im looking for cheap ways to realistically lighten it(ie not like a certain zx10 from a few years ago!) and make things cleaner/easier to work on.

What I've done so far:
Chopped rear inner plastics out of tail
Stripped dash loom of headlight/indicator wiring
Removed leftside switchgear(was already done)
Removed right side fan (03-04 only come with left and i wont be getting caught in traffic on this bike!)
Built bracket to hold hrc styled overflow bottle($6 from china) off the right side fan mounts
Ordered pair block off plates.
Chopped un needed tabs off headlight bracket and re routed dash wiring

So what else can i realistically get away with stripping from a trackbike? Ill strip the rest of the loom and cut some tabs etc off the subframe when i swab it over to a spare.

Loose weight and with all the money you save on food you can buy lighter rims
