Hi everyone....I need some serious opinions, please... So I have been riding for the past 7 months with a little over 800 miles of experience. My bike is a ninja 650r. But i want to upgrade to the 07 r6. Do you more experience riders think its a good idea to upgrade or its too early to upgrade to the r6? Any suggestions would be really appriciated.

I started on my 07, and i don't have any regrets. Its all about respecting the bike and what it can do. It would be a step-up from the 650, but one you won't regret.

My 07 was my first bike. I've put 1100 miles on it so far. I agree with Bozzo you will be fine if you respect the bike.

Yes! Get the R6 if you can. You won't regret it. The bike is so much fun to rev and handles great. The only downside is that the bike is really tall because the seat is wide and flat...but it makes for great transitions. Happy riding!

r6 was my first and i loved it. because the low end is weak it's easy to learn on, you can ease your way into the powerband over time.

I came off an SV650S. The difference in power delivery can be shocking, but the better handling will make you smile from the start, at least it did for me.

I think you should just stick with the 650. Its a much better platform for learning than the R6.

800 miles in 7 months?
