I got a 2008 R6, Bazzaz AFI.

It has been sat in garage for around 2 1/2 months, all electrics on dash power up. When I hit the ignition switch there is a loud buzz/click sound. The bazzaz does light up to say its on. yes its got fuel in!!

I usually have it on a trickle charger but moved house and didnt plug it back in around 3 months ago.

I have touched nothing on the bike and it ran fine 2 1/2 mnths ago.

Could it be that there is enough power to light up the dash but not enough to fire up the engine?

I filmed the starting issue but cant upload it at the mo. will do asap

Thoughts or advice appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it's absolutely possible that there is enough power to run the electronics but not crank the engine over. Measure the voltage across the battery terminals and watch how far it drops when you hit the starter. You should see at least 12V, and when you hit the starter it should stay above ~10V. Highly likely you'll see it drop much lower than that, which means you need to give it a good charge and then try again. If it's still dropping really low after a full charge, then it's time for a new battery.
