hey guys,
i ordered a SWEET set of aluminum billeted r6 race grips. 100$ pair, with R6" etched on them. the ends are pointed and they look real nice......
having said that.....there is about 3/4 inch of play in the throttle. its awful. and to make it worse, the 08 has NO adjustment on the cables according to the manual and service manuals. even the guys at my shop looked at the drawings n shit yamaha had in the computers.
anyone have any experience with adjusting an 08? need help!

id never take my bike 2 that shop again if they told me they couldnt adjust the throttle free play. maybe they wanted u 2 pay them & then all of a sudden yamaha god would enlighten them on how 2 adjust it. if u follow the 2 cables behind ur front master cylinder, there should be a rubber sheath; seperate the 2 & theres a locknut (maybe 8mm) & another nut that adjusts the freeplay

08 doesn't have cable adjustments on the throttle. Going to pull the tank on day and see if they can be adjusted down lower. Should be but not sure. T
