I had an opportunity to sit on the 08 r6 today because i was thinking of upgrading from my 03 to it. I didn't like how the seat was alot wider and more square than mine. My question is does the 06 and 07 have the same seat or is it more like mine?

From what I have heard from others the 08 seat is only a bit longer than the 06-07 seat. So the width of the seat is almost the same.

The 06-07 is almost identical in the seat. My '07 is VERY wide and the actual seat pan is most of it so "trimming" the sides is almost impossible for shorter riders. I have just learned to deal with it. The wider seat is actually comfortable (at least to me) on longer rides.
