i've searched everywhere and couldn't find anyone running a 13-41t setup (520 conversion obviously)... my idea is to reduce rotating mass to free up more power but i dono if this has ever been done, any input would be great thanks!...this is also my first ever post so i apologize in advance if i put it in the wrong area or did something wrong... point me in the right direction if i messed up thx

you realize that the difference in wight of a 13 vs a 16t front sprocket, is likely LESS than the weight of rubber balls and crud that collect on the inside of your wheel ?? seriously. And consider the tire wear as well, and the fact that weight on the outside of a wheel has way more of an affect as it is so far from the center.. vs a small front sprocket that is.. well.. small.
this will do nothing for you, other than wear your chain faster, wear the chain slider MUCH faster, and create MORE DRAG on the chain slider that in and of itself, will cost you HP not gain.
I dont' think you can buy a 13t front sprocket for an r6 anyway for the aforementioned reasons.
a 15t front is about as low as you would want or NEED to go and still have the bike be streetable. Some mfgs sell a 14t but you would have to be shifting very fast i suspect to utilize this setup. And my guess is that in a 1/4 mile drag, you would loose more time making an additional shift, and trying to keep the front end down on the launch, than you would gain .. just my opinion. Front sprockets are not that expensive. Give it a try and see what you think

thank you very much for the link it was very helpful in making my decision unfortunately i already bought this setup so looks like i'll be hopefully exchanging em, i think i'm gonna do a 15-47 which will give me a slightly lower ratio than i have now which is -1 up front, hoping for better times in the 1/4 mile, also hoping the 520 from 532 chain will make a slight difference but thanks again i appreciate a helpful reply versus the all to often douche bag replys haha
