I am going to go down 1 size on the front sprocket. I was going to use a vortex sprocket but they are on backorder. What would be another good sprocket to use ?

I ordered mine on Wednesday and received it on Friday. Installed on Saturday! I'm not sure who is backordered, but they had mine in stock.

Going down a tooth on the front sprocket will decrease top speed, but increase acceleration.

my employer owns a motorcycle store so i get employee prices. The three suppliers they buy from say they are on b/o

This is just off the top - Did ya'll know R1 front sprocket is larger than our but our Rear sprocket is larger... I think if we can generate more air do you think we could almost catch R1

back to the original question. Can someone reccommend another good front sprocket other than vortex?

I bought an RK aluminum sprocket/chain kit (-1/0). It seems to work well. Not too sure about the quality because I am new to bikes. One thing I noticed. My RPMs jumped up quite a bit, my gas goes down quicker, and my speedometer is 10-15mph off but I get some really quick acceleration; even at higher speeds.

Going down only 1 tooth in the front wont be that much of a difference. If you are only changing 1 sprocket make it the rear and go up like 5 teeth, or just do a 520 conversion and -1+2. Just got done doing that on my bike and wow what a difference. Make sure you get a speedohealer. Try Driven or Renthal If you cant find vortex.
