I have a 2002 R6 has carbs jetted yoshi exhaust
Kn air filter stretched 9" and lowered 2"
Iam wanting to put NOS on it but not sure
I'd i need to do any motor work can anyone that knows
Help me out thanks
Wow... a 9" stretch on a measly 600? 9" stretch? You dont need nitrous you need less chain & wheelbase with some clutch hand development.
I would hope you leave every stop light like you were shot out of a cannon with 9" over...lol. :lmao

sell that heap & get a better bike. Ive seen this before...actually a guy had a 10" over arm on a small bore yamaha & was a threat to the 60' mark. Piped 4 wheelers were beating him in the 1/8th.

That is a lot of stretch. We are 6 over and have the wheel almost at the front of the adjustment. Way more than you need for sure. And with an 02 r6, you're going to grenade the trans in pretty short order.

Like was said above, you'd probably be better off with a different bike. This coming from a guy who has a stretched, dropped, big bore 636.... I'll be adding nitrous next season but then, my trans is worked up and I have a fully built engine coming back sunday...

To each his own but an 02 r6 is a tall order. There are a couple guys with newer bikes running some solid numbers on them though....

Ok thanks for the info I've been reading that I can swap out stock tranny with 03-05 tranny with no problems do you know if this is Tru
if you have it apart... check the shift forks real close. There is an acceptable level of wear. Also make sure your lever engages each gear firmly. Last think you want is a sloppy shift when you are WFO.
