I was wondering what all do I need to swap out 02 tranny with 05 tranny a parts list thanks

I was under the impression that the 1st and 2nd gen transmissions were different. The part numbers for the gears are similar, but not identical. Take a look for yourself.

Just dropped an '04 transmission into my '02 today. Ordering the gaskets and a few other things to put it back together right now

I have an 05' trans in my 01'. Just need side cover and oil pan gaskets IIRC. Other than that, it drops right in. 4 years later, I still have 2nd gear :flex:

This guy just changed the bad gears, but the step by step tear down re-build process is the same.
