I am %99.9 percent sure I have found my bike and will pick it up tonight....2005 R6, the bike has 14k miles though and that worries me a bit. If bike checks out and is legit I will offer 5grand, is this about right for a bike with those kinda miles?... All other bikes I have looked at; close to that price range have had 6-9k miles... Thanks..

Miles are a bit high for the year but it is in the right price range.I'd be tempted to go 4800 due to the high miliage. Also though I would have to take in factor if it is all stock and if it was in perfect condition. If you really want it go for it.:YEA

Bought my 05 R6 with 6550 miles on it, only thing it needed was new tires cause they were flat spotted cause the donkey didnt check the tire pressure and rode around for about a month with the front at 16psi and rear at 11psi. Bought the bike for $5000 cash in his face. He was asking $6300... I like to insult people when buying their things... it usually works. :) LOL!

are you kidding me? miles are a bit high for the that year? its 14k miles over 4 years (this being the 4th riding year) that comes to about 3500 miles a year. That is definitely not a lot atleast he rode it opposed to someone who just bought it and let it sit in his garage and has only 1400 miles on it.

4.5-5k sounds very resonable

I agree that its kinda high mileage... normal is about 2 to 2500 I'd say in a year. Most people dont ride as much as I do... I've had my bike 2 months and as I said b4 started with it at 6550 and now I'm just over 9000. If you are buying a bike, wouldn't you rather buy it from someone who let it sit in his garage and only has 1400 miles on it? I would.

What I did, and why I got it so cheap is I printed out other ads of similar bikes for lesser money, especially if they were a year newer for the same money and take it to him and actually show him that his bike isnt worth that much. You will get a lot further with reasoning. If that doesnt work, insult the piss out of him and his bike and then wave a bunch of fresh 100 dollar bills in his face and see what happens

I would actually want the opposite, I'd prefer to buy one thats at 14k miles that I know has been ridden and maintained as opposed to one thats sat there 4 years with 1,400 miles on it. Besides you'd get the 14k miles one a lot cheaper than you would the 1,400 miles one.

Depending on where you live you might have a year round riding season so you will see bikes with more mileage on them. Also 14,000 miles is a low mileage bike because if the bike is properly maintained they will last atleast 70,000 miles.
