hey guys new to the forum, looking at purchasing an r6. im currently riding a 06 zx6r, love it but gona use it as a track tool and buy a new road bike, my question to you is, is there any advantage in buying a new 08 over a used 06/07?, i plan on putting some money into it on extras as in full system power commander and new suspension, so just looking at he best options, any info appreciated

from what I hear they improved on the engine on the 08

For looks I'd go 06/07 but I don't know much about performance advantages.

ya i deffinetly prefer the looks of the 06/07, im thinking with full akra, power comm, ohlins damper and fr+rear suspension it should be more than enough to compete with a any 08 600

on the '08s they've completely redesigned the chassis and utilize a new chip controlled intake system that gives u more bottom end (which yamis traditionally lack). i also think it looks better. i have the same dilemma right now. save money and go '07 or just go for the '08. I DONT KNOOOOOW :nocontrol
