2006 R-6 with error code 60, what is it?

Well went to ride the bike and I have no throttle respnse, it is giving me a error code 60, anyone else have this problem and if so how did you fix it? THANKS..

kind of a serious problem that sounds expensive YIKES!


Throttle servo motor:
open or short circuit detected.
Defective throttle servo motor.
Malfunction in ECU (servo
motor driving system).
• Open or short circuit in wire harness.
• Defective throttle servo motor (potentiometer
circuit).
• Stuck throttle servo motor (mechanism).
• Stuck throttle servo motor (motor).
• Malfunction in ECU.

11 Cylinder identification sensor failure
12 Crankshaft position sensor failure
13 Intake pressure sensor failure
14 Intake pressure sensor pipeline failure
15 Throttle position sensor wire disconnected or short-circuited
16 Throttle position sensor stuck
21 Water temperature sensor failure
22 Intake temperature sensor failure
23 Atmospheric pressure sensor failure
24 Oxygen sensor failure
30 Lean angle cut-off switch activated
31 Maximum allowable Oxygen sensor correction level exceeded
32 Oxygen sensor correction level too low
41 Lean angle cut-off switch disconnected or short-circuited
42 Vehicle speed sensor or neutral switch failure
43 Monitor voltage -- less than 3v
44 ECU failure

from what blue posted, it sounds like the throttle by wire assembly came unplugged. Check all your connections to make sure they're tight, if they are, its probably a fried servo motor.

Did u guys check your etv fuse located under the seat? Solved my code 60
i had the same problem, error 60

I changed the etv fuse and the error is gone...but now it just turns over and it doesnt start

Any suggestions? help...

the etv fuse solved my code 60 aswell, dang fuses will be the death of me lol,:);)
Once again the R6-Forum saved me a lot of trouble. ETV fuse was blown! Thanks again!
wow this baffled me as a new owner for a few days....got on here after i had givin up hope and never the less it was a simple etv fuse! thanks guys ill be ready for spring!!!!!
I'm having the same problem. Just took the bike in to a Yamaha gold mechanic. I'll let you all know what the problem was.

Things I did, Checked all the wiring that I could get to, changed the Oil because it had sat for almost 9 months. Nothing but a hard idle. Gas was drained and new was added with additive. We'll see what they come up with.
Check Your Etv Fuse!!!! First!!!
