My brother went off the road bout a month ago I have since stripped the bike down and right now no headlights are on the cluster is damaged(new one on the way). Anyway we plugged the cluster in and screens are messed up so can’t see anything but it does show the engine light blinking while cranking all wires i think are good I went over them and did a new stator cover. Im thinking maybe lean angle sensor. Any other ideas or could the damaged cluster cause it not to start? Also won’t crank in 1st with clutch pulled in only cranks in neutral

Solved:
Cluster came in ended up being code 19, found a damaged wire on the ignition switch under the wire wrap stuff, would then start but die in gear quite a bit of researching and trying this and that led me to the starting cut off relay under the gas tank swapped it out from a running r6 and went right into gear! Rebuild looking promising.
