I have a 2007 R6s n I want to get rid of that tuna can exhaust.

I was thinking exchanging exhaust with a 06 -07 R6 exhaust, from headers to exhaust. I don't use pass pegs so that isn't issue.

Ne ideas

Btw.
R6s has been thru overhaul looks gorgeous. Post pix in min

You don't want to use the 06-07 (3rd gen headers). There is a reason people with the 3rd gens use R6S exhaust headers on theirs. The muffler on the 06 and up bikes is under the engine and is part of the header. The slip-on is just a resonator, (for exhaust note) not really a muffler.

That being said, several people have installed the 3rd gen slip-on on their 2nd gen R6 (R6S, and '03-'05). There are a couple of how-to threads in this section on it. Here is a link to one of them that is pretty good for describing what you need to do:

In this thread he is using an after market slip-on, but the same proceedure will work with a stock one from an '06+ R6.
