Hi, I have just upgraded to an 08 R6, it came with a GYTR slip-on 'shorty' exhaust (not installed) and the Cat already cut out.
I have been told there is an issue removing the stock can due to a servo, or servo sensor (on the flapper valve) that will cause the engine light to stay on if removed.
Can anyone please provide details/instruction to fix this problem?

Do a search on how to remove exup. You'll find out how to remove the cables with out any check engine light.

You need to remove the cables, but leave the servo plugged in. I have installed many of these pipes, and that is what it tells you in the "destructions". The FI light will not come on.
